This year we want to highlight October as ANTI-BULLYING month and October 21st as Unity Day against Bullying.
Our main goals are twofold: We would like to get everyone to wear orange on October 21st to raise awareness that Bullying DOES go on and it needs to be STOPPED and secondly we'd like to encourage everyone to sign the pledge - whether it be digital or on paper - against bullying and tell others to do the same. To help us spread the word and celebrate, we will be offering a drawing package that will include: one dozen cookies from Bentonville Baking Company decorated in the Unity Day theme, a Unity Day t-shirt, bookmarks to give out against bullying, and a Unity Day poster. All you have to do is share an upcoming post that we will make NEXT THURSDAY (September 24th) on all of our social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter). Each time you share on any platform will enter your name into the drawing. We will also be posting an anti-bullying resource from Pacer.org each Thursday now until the end of October that you can use in your home, classroom, or community. MAKE IT ORANGE - MAKE IT END visit www.pacer.org/bullying for the parent organization of this initiative and to find many helpful toolkits, resources, etc there. - Staff of NWACPRC |
